DNA & Death Penalty

26 January 2012 | By patti-kgmi in Uncategorized | 1 Comment

Two state bills relating criminals: DNA collection for those arrested for major felonies and some gross misdemeanor. Another bill would do away with the death penalty. Do you think these are good ideas and will help in preventing crimes?  What are your thoughts?

Bozo or Bust

25 January 2012 | By patti-kgmi in Uncategorized | 2 Comments

Whatcom County unemployment jumped in December, as local building permits show the construction industry continue to struggle locally. Is the state of your economy getting better? Did the President’s State of the Union Address give you confidence the economy is turning around? I thought the speech was the best comedy I’ve seen in months.  I just could not stop laughing, seriously.  I would vote for Bozo the Clown before I would vote for this joke of a president.  Bozo would do better by just sitting in office and doing absolutely nothing, compared to the damage Obama has done to individual freedom, property rights, and liberty of Americans in his short tenure.

President Obama will deliver his State of the Union speech tonight. He will pitch some new proposals and address economic inequality to ensure “a fair shake for all”.  What are your thoughts on the state of our union? Do you believe the biggest problem in our country is ‘income inequality’? Economic justice is a building block of Marxism..true fact!

Lake Whatcom Water Quality

23 January 2012 | By patti-kgmi in Uncategorized | No Comments Yet

The Bellingham City Council wants to hear what the public thinks about a $7 monthly increase to water bills for Lake Whatcom protection.  Do you think money is the solution to the pollution or do you have a better idea?  I personally think they continue to take more taxpayer money to throw at a problem they really neveraddress.  After all, what would they do if there were no longer a problem…give you some back?

Washington State in the Banking Business

17 January 2012 | By patti-kgmi in Uncategorized | 6 Comments

Though introduced last year with little traction, a state bank is now getting some interest in Olympia.  If passed, the state would be allowed to borrow money directly from the Federal Reserve.  What are your thoughts?

Life is a Gas Tax

12 January 2012 | By patti-kgmi in Uncategorized | No Comments Yet

I wonder how many Washingtonians know about this little Gregoire deal with the tribes?  Can someone tell me why we pay to pave roads on the res…when we are already giving them the cash to pay for it themselves?

Roll Out The Barrel

11 January 2012 | By patti-kgmi in Uncategorized | 3 Comments

Governor Gregoire asked state lawmakers to propose a $1.50-per-barrel charge on refineries to pay for ferries and road repairs. Do you think you will end up footing the bill? Well, it may all depend on if they use the word tax as opposed to the word fee.

BIG BAD BOOM
