The ‘Occupy’ movement is set to disrupt traffic during the “anti-Capitalist” marches across the country today.  What are your thoughts?  Does the group truly represent the 99%?

 

To think as a kid we used to make May Day baskets out of green strawberry baskets, then fill then with flowers and leave them on porches of neighbors.  May Day certainly has changed….for some!

The FAA has recently given approval to dozens of law-enforcement agencies, academic institutions and other agencies.  The ACLU is saying the current laws are “not strong enough to ensure that the technology will be used responsibly”.  What are your thoughts on the use of domestic drones?  Is this too much ‘Big Brother’?

Refineries Are Saving Us

Whatcom County’s unemployment rate dropped last month, with the construction industry being the winner.  An estimated 6,500 people were employed in the construction sector, up from 700.  How many of those do you think came from the refineries? Also, over the last six months two refineries on the east coast have completely closed, with more to follow due to the cost of implementing EPA regulations.  Gas prices across the country are predicted to soar this summer.  What are your thoughts, and what is the solution?
