What do you think the risks are for investing in the market, and do you only expect to win?

Close to 50,000 people have been killed in Mexico over drug violence by the cartels.  What part do you think America should play in stopping the violence, and do you think we are in any way responsible for the drug trade?

The FAA has recently given approval to dozens of law-enforcement agencies, academic institutions and other agencies.  The ACLU is saying the current laws are “not strong enough to ensure that the technology will be used responsibly”.  What are your thoughts on the use of domestic drones?  Is this too much ‘Big Brother’?

Whatcom County’s unemployment rate dropped last month, with the construction industry being the winner.  An estimated 6,500 people were employed in the construction sector, up from 700.  How many of those do you think came from the refineries? Also, over the last six months two refineries on the east coast have completely closed, with more to follow due to the cost of implementing EPA regulations.  Gas prices across the country are predicted to soar this summer.  What are your thoughts, and what is the solution?

It looks like SCOTUS is going to support Arizona’s strong immigration law.  What are your thoughts?  Who should preempt the other…the state or the feds.

First it was coal dust, now it is the lead in the fuel causing health concerns over an airport expansion.  With the increasing number of flights in and out of Bellingham International airport, have you been impacted by the noise from air traffic, and what are your thoughts on expansion of the terminal?
