Obama mocks tea party attendees.

April 30th, 2009 | By patti-kgmi in My Personal Commentary | 19 Comments »

President Obama held a Townhall Meeting prior to his ‘100 Day News Conference’.  He dismissed the Tea Party and those who attended them.  For a man that started his career as a community organizer and working with ACON…why the problem now?  Hypocrite? Again, he wants to silence Americans!

Education

April 21st, 2009 | By patti-kgmi in Show Topics | 10 Comments »

The Washington State Legislature is going to redefine what a ‘basic’ educaiton is.  Once they make up their minds; they will then try to make a plan.  If it is anyhting like the viaduct…it could be twenty years.

Our state contitution says that we only need to provide for a basic educaiton and 40% of general fund goes to education.  Yet, we have grown higher education by an even greater percentage.

Here is a great article with a number of graphs (be sure to look at the second graph); that will put it all into perspecitve.

Do you think that throwing more money at this broken system is the answer?

Barry and Chavey just had a chance meeting…Americans are not stupid!!

U.S. President Barack Obama does not plan to have a one-on-one meeting with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez at an upcoming summit of leaders, the White House said on Thursday.

Obama and Chavez, who has both mocked and praised the U.S. president, are slated to meet with leaders from across the hemisphere at the Summit of the Americas starting on Friday in Trinidad and Tobago.

“There’s no one-on-one meeting with Mr. Chavez on the schedule,” spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters whil ein flight on Air Force One. “I believe he is among several leaders that are in a multilateral meeting.”

When asked whether Obama would walk away if Chavez pulled him aside for a private talk, Gibbs said: “Every time I’ve pulled the president aside to have a conversation, we’ve had that conversation, so I assume he would do the same.”

Wow!  There they were this afternoon together not having a hand shake as the media is reporting…but a hand grip that screams “hey buddy”.  Hugo Chavez has murdered his own countrymen, socialized his country and praised some of the most horrendous leaders in the world.  He is loco in la cabasaand so is Obama.  Obama is acting like Chavez is his long lost friend.  Maybe that is the red flag that I t hink has been raised…they are old buddies!  My God, our founding father must be looking down on us an thinking one thing:

O - One

B- Big

A - Ass

M - Mistake

A - America

Lady Liberty

April 17th, 2009 | By patti-kgmi in My Personal Commentary | 6 Comments »

A listener to ‘The Morning Show’ asked if I could re-post my ”Lady Liberty” blog.  I am more than happy to oblige.

I care about the United States of America, the land that I love.  Lady Liberty is her name and she is a friend of mine.  Try to think of her as a person for just a few moments.  She has been free for close to 250 years.  She has not had her hands tied behind her back, she has not had her purse stolen, she has been positive regardless of her ups and downs (boy has she had her share), she doesn’t have to justify herself to anyone because she acts with her heart and her conviction.  She has not had to have someone take care of her because she can be stubborn (remember she is passionate); she has been a friend to those around the world that needed a friend when nobody else cared and when others walked away.  She is strong, she is independent and she is so proud of the men and women that have sacrificed for her freedom to be anything and everything she wants to be; but mostly for the freedom she has each and every single day to do as she pleases.  She changes her mind, she has perspective and has demonstrated unconditional love; even to those that have tried to harm her.  She is a forgiving person for she knows that nobody is perfect.  She knows she is free and that freedom has come at a price; yet that price is one she could never afford.  She does not take for granted her freedom…even though she has had the luxury of not ever knowing what it is to be without it.  Lady Liberty has only one obligation…to be a constant reminder of all the great things she stands for, what she has and what she wants for ME…the same things.  Lady Liberty is a friend and I like her just the way she is; she doesn’t need to change for me.  Why would I want to disrobe her, cut up the fabric of patriotism and The Constitution that she has been proudly draped in and sew it into something that she doesn’t want to wear?

How do you feel?

One Proud American standing by…

April 15th, 2009 | By patti-kgmi in My Personal Commentary | 13 Comments »

Today, I was able to make it to the Bellingham/Whatcom County Tea Party.  How proud I am.  Proud of every man, woman, child, soldier, hero, veteran, logger, you name it….I am proud!  We the people came together!  Each and every smiling face from every walk of life…I am proud.  To every person that was in a wheelchair, on crutches, riding a Harley, holding a baby…I am proud.  To each and every American that came to be part of something greater than themselves…I am proud! To every face that clearly represented their heritage and their own pride in this great country and the priviledge to be an American Citizen…I am proud!

This is not the end, this is only the beginning.  “We” are the people and I am in awe and so proud to be standing by watching and knowing we can do anything together!

…and to think this was just some silly event that a maybe a couple hundred people would show up to!  “We” showed them!
