Boeing Picks South Carolina Over Everett

29 October 2009 | By patti-kgmi in Uncategorized

With the decision on Wednesday to build a second assembly line in South Carolina, do you agree with Boeing’s decision?  Why?  I believe the writing has been on the wall for a number of years.  First, the corporate office moved to Chicago, followed by a number of strikes.  Boeing had to go where it was the most favorable conditions to make a profit and to move forward as a company.

  1. Why this is simple, all we need is a Federal GMA and use it as the county council uses our GMA to restrict business to and in certain areas and only allow Washington state to build aircraft….take away the ability of other states to steal away aircraft production to their states….the Obama way mmm mmm mmm

  2. Yes indeed, “Chris” is…let’s see if I can remember…oh yeah, “disappointed, sad and frustrated”..what’s so truly disappointing, sad and frustrating is that the liberals will learn NOTHING from this…not a thing! They will continue to punish business, taxing us into oblivion, and enacting harsh, unrealistic new “regulations” for us to COMPLY with, and on and on it goes. They will blame EVERYONE else, and will never look in the mirror to see who really owns this!!
I think the liberal stanglehold on this county, state and country will soon be gone….say buh-bye….

  3. That’s right. WA keeps on taxing ‘big bad business’ into oblivion, and then the idiots that imposed & demanded the taxes start to whine about job losses when companies move away.

Well, WA state, as it behaves more & more like CA, will get into the hole further and further until the state is bankrupt and most people & businesses can’t afford to live here.

Oops, wait a minute, I forgot - that’s exactly what these ‘Futurewise’ eco-weenies want - no more people left on the area but their own families - funny how that works, isn’t it?

  4. Make the most of Boeing while some of it still remains here in Washington. The KGMI poll could well have allowed for a ‘check all that apply’ circle - the defection to So. Carolina is due to a combination of prohibitive state business regulations, over zealous environmental impact demands, and tunnel vision union activity that now leaves us stand by helplessly and watch our very own state golden goose melt away. When all state industries have left for more sympathetic and welcoming climes, how then are the dependant greenie groupies going to get money to live on?
There’s always the government teat but that has to be replenished out of someone else’s wallet. It’s time for the wake.
